is one magic training method for all
dogs. We see every dog as an individual
with individual needs, drives and
responses. We also understand that
to be successful, we must find the
method that works best for each dog/owner
combination. Just as every dog is
an individual, so is every owner.
All training methods and equipment
have advantages and disadvantages.
Our goal, and indeed our job, is to
find the method that works best for

 IN-HOME:
This
specialized service involves a direct and
individual focus; the learning takes place
in the context of your own home environment.
8 Lessons are recommended for full obedience
training. The classes are one hour in length
and are run once per week. We have treated
both regular dogs and those with behavioural
problems to great success with our in-home
program. It is a convenient approach for
many busy households.
BOARDING
& TRAINING:
We
recognize that some dogs have special needs
or your busy lifestyle doesn't afford you
any extra time to train your dog. A great
option is this specialized service where your
dog comes to our home for 4 weeks for one-on-one
training. We teach them house manners along
with full obedience. This service has been
very successful with both regular dogs and
those with behavioural problems.

This
service consists of K9 Solutions interviewing
numerous breeders by phone. Between yourself
and K9 Solutions, the list of potential breeders
will be narrowed to 2 possible breeders. We
will arrange a day that is convenient for
you, K9 Solutions and both breeders for a
visit to both kennels (this will typically
be on a Saturday or Sunday). After the visit,
one breeder will be chosen to purchase from.
The cost for this service is $250.00. This
fee includes all long distance charges for
the phone inquiries to breeders and traveling
for the day to both breeders' facilities.
Please note, the cost for this service is
based on both breeders being within a 2-hour
drive from the Toronto area.

Once
the breeder has been chosen, K9 Solutions
will travel with you to help select the puppy
that exhibits the best potential personality
to match your needs. Typically, it is best
to see the puppies at approximately 6-7 weeks
of age to make a good selection. You can plan
on spending at least 2 hours at the kennel
to get a good idea of the individual temperaments
of the puppies. |
